Do I have to make minimum monthly or annual purchases?
No. There are no minimum purchase requirements ever. If you just want to purchase Amsoil products for your own personal use, that is just fine. But you can always sell to family and friends and the profits are yours.
Am I required to carry an inventory?
There are no inventory requirements.
If I register new dealers or accounts, do they purchase product from me?
All dealers, retail, and commercial accounts you register purchase their products directly from Amsoil Inc. Amsoil takes their orders, ships the product, and collects the payments. Amsoil Inc. sends you a check for the profits, cash bonuses, and commissions every month.
Do I need a state sales tax exemption number to become a dealer?
No. Amsoil Inc. will bill you your state's sales tax when you make a purchase. When you sell product, you collect your state sales tax from your customer to reimburse yourself for the already paid tax. If you decide to expand your business beyond purchasing for yourself and friends, it is a good business practice to apply for a sales tax exemption number from your state.
Why are social security numbers required on the application form?
\When Dealers buy products, register accounts that make purchases, or register other Dealers in their downline, Amsoil pays commissions and cash bonuses based upon their purchases to you, the servicing Dealer. This information is reported to the IRS. At the beginning of the year, you will receive a form 1099-Misc. which includes the total amount paid to you by Amsoil Inc. for your tax purposes.
